I am a Mellon postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Philosophy at Rutgers University. I work in the philosophy of mind, the philosophy of cognitive science, and ethics.
From 2022 to 2025, I was a postdoctoral associate at the Rutgers Center for Cognitive Science. I received my Ph.D. in philosophy in 2022 from The Ohio State University.
When not doing philosophy, I enjoy running, watching sports, taking photos, and spending time with my wife Rachel and son Miller. I am a proud and long-suffering fan of the Charlotte Hornets and Carolina Panthers.

In October 2025, I am presenting my paper, “Evaluating representationalist folk mentalism about LLMs” (co-authored with André Curtis-Trudel) at the 6th Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence conference in Amsterdam.
This semester, I am teaching “Minds, Machines, and Persons” in the philosophy department at Rutgers.
In winter 2025, I won the 13th Annual Essay Prize at the Centre for Philosophical Psychology at the University of Antwerp for “Formats Are Consciously Experienced.”
